Meet the Author

Hello, and welcome! I’m Shelly—a children’s author, inclusion teacher, and proud mom of two. With more than twelve years of classroom experience, I’ve witnessed the power of stories to spark imagination, build confidence, and bring children together through the joy of reading.

My writing journey was inspired by my two beloved shih tzu dogs, Freddie and Mimi. Their playful adventures encouraged me to create magical tales where every child feels seen, valued, and part of the story. Each book is crafted with an inclusive spirit and carries gentle moral lessons that children can treasure long after the last page.

I can’t wait for you to meet Freddie, Mimi, and all the wonderful characters who bring these stories to life.
